About us
Credible Messengers United operates under the nonprofit legal entity Penitence Grace. Penitence Grace is the organization’s registered corporate name in Texas, while Credible Messengers United is the name under which the organization conducts its programs and public work.
Beginning in 2021, the organization shifted its focus to serving transitional-age youth involved in the juvenile and criminal legal systems using the Credible Messenger mentoring model. Since 2022, Penitence Grace has conducted its work publicly as Credible Messengers United, providing mentoring, recovery support, and transitional services to youth ages 13–24.
Credible Messengers United is dedicated to transforming lives, empowering youth, and building stronger communities through mentorship, education, and support.
Credible Messengers United’s mission is to serve justice-involved and transitional-age youth (14–24) by providing effective, transformative programs and services that make a meaningful and lasting impact on their quality of life. We are dedicated to breaking cycles of incarceration, reducing recidivism, and fostering personal growth through mentoring, prevention, education, and skill-building opportunities.
By creating a supportive and empowering environment, Credible Messengers United helps young people develop the confidence, resilience, and leadership skills needed to overcome challenges, make positive choices, and successfully reintegrate into their communities as thriving, contributing members of society.
Our vision is to empower youth by equipping them with the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed — not just in the short term, but for a lifetime. We aim to identify, strengthen, and expand the reach of community organizations that address the needs of justice-involved youth and their families, building strong partnerships that multiply our impact.
We envision a future where every young person, regardless of their past, has access to meaningful opportunities, supportive networks, and the guidance necessary to reach their full potential. Through collaboration, innovation, and a deep commitment to justice and equity, we seek to transform lives, uplift communities, and inspire a generation of leaders and change-makers.
